{"id":63480,"date":"2026-08-16T09:53:56","date_gmt":"2026-08-16T09:53:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/63480"},"modified":"2026-08-16T09:54:02","modified_gmt":"2026-08-16T09:54:02","slug":"transporters-govt-officials-to-hold-talks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/63480","title":{"rendered":"Transporters, govt officials to hold talks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.6\">\n<p><strong>KARACHI: A crucial round of talks between goods transporters and the governments officials will be held in Karachi today, a representative of transporters said on Sunday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>President All Pakistan Goods Transporters Alliance, Malik Shahzad Awan said that the transporters will hold talks with federal, Punjab and Sindh government\u2019s representatives at Governor House at 3:00 PM today.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the transporters countrywide strike continues successfully across the country for nine days.<\/p>\n<p>Shahzad Awan said that the goods transporters protesting for their legitimate rights. \u201cHopefully, the problems will be resolved soon, and transport\u2019s wheels will come into motion again,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>It is to be mentioned here that two earlier rounds of talks between government and transporters were ended without any result.<\/p>\n<p>The goods transport protest is affecting the movement of food items and other goods supplies, raising concerns over serious disruptions to the country\u2019s supply chains.<\/p>\n<p>The goods transporters launched the wheel-jam strike for nine days to protest against what they call unfair taxation, rising operational costs and lack of implementation of transport policies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/arynews.tv\/goods-transport-strike-transporters-govt-officials-hold-talks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: A crucial round of talks between goods transporters and the governments officials will be held in Karachi today, a representative of transporters said on Sunday.
