STOCKHOLM \u2013 Swedish police are investigating whether an 18-year-old man who attacked students at a Swedish high school \u200bwith a sword on Friday, killing one, was involved \u200cin online communities promoting school violence, a police source said.<\/strong><\/p>\n The attacker struck at a school in the central Swedish town of Fagersta, also severely injuring two teenage boys before being arrested by police. The parents of a 17-year-old girl told local newspaper \u2060Fagersta-Posten that their daughter was killed in the attack.<\/p>\n Police are \u200binvestigating whether a TikTok account that posted a picture of a \u200bsword 20 minutes before the assault belonged to the suspect, the source told Reuters. According to the Dagens Nyheter newspaper, the image appeared to \u200bhave been taken in a restroom at the school.<\/p>\n Before it \u200bwas taken down on Friday, the month-old account contained videos that referred \u200cto \u2060two mass violence attacks in Sweden and to Norwegian far-right mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik. It also referenced a 2015 attack, where a masked swordsman killed a teaching assistant and two \u200bboys at a \u200bschool in Trollhattan, \u2060western Sweden, before being shot dead by police.<\/p>\n \u201cThe investigators are looking into various online communities \u200bwhich might have egged on the suspect to \u200bcarry out \u2060the attack,\u201d the police source said.<\/p>\n Prosecutors on Saturday ordered the man\u2019s detention on suspicion of murder and several counts of attempted \u2060murder.<\/p>\n \u201cThe investigation \u200bis at an intense stage.
