The 65-year-old of Patna, Bihar, has come up with an anti-theft mobile application that could successfully trace stolen phones and catch offenders using camera snapshots.<\/strong><\/p>\n Ravi Nandan Sahay, who is not a computer science degree holder and has a postgraduate in statistics, has dedicated months learning cloud application development to create the anti-theft app titled \u201cGet Your Lost Phone.\u201d<\/p>\n How the \u2018Get Your Lost Phone\u2019 App Works<\/strong><\/p>\n The app will bring instant digitally sourced clues for mobile owners and even police to hunt stolen and misplaced phones in a range of 20 meters.<\/p>\n This app operates covertly on your device every time the phone is locked through your screen passcode.<\/p>\n Detects Unauthorized Attempts: If anyone attempts to unlock your phone by feeding wrong codes, the front camera of the device will instantly click a photo of the concerned individual while the front camera clicks a shot.<\/p>\n Transmits Alerts Immediately: When setup, users can add up to two emergency contact numbers along with a principal email. In cases of attempted break-in with a wrong code, the app instantly transfers captured images of intruders along with live GPS details to two alternative numbers and an email account.<\/p>\n Cloud Back-end: While the app failed under different AI-driven architectures and methods, Sahay was able to create the application on a cloud-based ecosystem, eventually creating the functioning tool successfully.<\/p>\n The Idea Behind the App<\/strong><\/p>\n Despite having two children working as professional software developers, Sahay did the challenging task himself since both of their schedules were too packed to develop such an app.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been asking them for long that a mobile application helping safeguard people from phone robbery must come into effect.
