ISLAMABAD, August 25, 2026: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has said that the plan to shift PTI founder Imran Khan to a hospital was changed at the last moment, ARY News reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n Speaking about the matter, Barrister Gohar said that if the plan had not been changed, they would have made considerable progress. He said their efforts were derailed and it would have been much better if the PTI founder had received treatment at Shifa International Hospital.<\/p>\n Barrister Gohar said he was not disappointed and would make efforts again, as contacts are not ended. He said all talks held so far were only about the PTI founder\u2019s health.<\/p>\n He said politics and political statements should not be made over the PTI founder\u2019s health. The Supreme Court\u2019s orders should have been implemented in letter and spirit.<\/p>\n The PTI chairman said the PTI founder\u2019s treatment was a straightforward matter and whoever stopped it did not do the right thing. He said whoever changed the hospital transfer plan at the last moment made a mistake.<\/p>\n Barrister Gohar said they also had security concerns regarding the PTI founder\u2019s treatment and transfer, but the government did not inform them about any security concerns regarding his transfer to Shifa Hospital.<\/p>\n He said the PTI founder was taken to PIMS instead of Shifa Hospital, but necessary treatment was not provided there either. He added that the PTI founder\u2019s sister had informed them that he had been taken to PIMS instead of Shifa.<\/p>\n Barrister Gohar said his contacts with the government remained intact and Azam Nazeer Tarar had also acknowledged that talks had taken place.<\/p>\n He said the CCTV footage circulating regarding his meeting with the PTI founder was fake.<\/p>\n Barrister Gohar said the petition filed in the Supreme Court had been numbered and an application for an early hearing had also been filed. He said the contempt of court petition was aimed at ensuring implementation of the Supreme Court\u2019s order.<\/p>\n He said the Supreme Court\u2019s order could still be implemented if those responsible were willing to listen. He added that they had neither violated the court\u2019s orders nor adopted any such position.<\/p>\n Regarding opposition politics, Barrister Gohar said the united opposition would adopt a joint strategy in the National Assembly and Senate. Opposition parties would unite to raise public issues and hold the government accountable.<\/p>\n He said unity among opposition parties was the need of the hour and reforms were required in the judiciary, Election Commission and provincial matters.<\/p>\n Barrister Gohar said Noreen Niazi was happy over her meeting with the PTI founder last Tuesday. He added that the PTI founder\u2019s health and security remained their top priority.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
