LAHORE:\u00a0The\u00a0Pakistani\u00a0women\u2019s\u00a0team\u00a0has\u00a0left\u00a0for\u00a0Dubai\u00a0to\u00a0compete\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0Women\u2019s\u00a0Asia\u00a0Cup,\u00a0which\u00a0will\u00a0take\u00a0place\u00a0there\u00a0from\u00a0August\u00a028\u00a0to\u00a0September\u00a013.<\/strong><\/p>\n

ARY News reportedly said that the Pakistani women\u2019s squad, captained by Fatima Sana, played matches against the boys\u2019 team at a training camp before they left.<\/p>\n

The opening match for the Pakistani team is as per reports set for September 1 against Thailand, while the match between Pakistan and India is set for September 5.<\/p>\n

However,on September 7, the Pakistani team will face Hong Kong in their final group encounter.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Pakistan took a huge hit before the ACC Women\u2019s T20 Asia Cup as their wicketkeeper-batter Najiha Alvi is ruled out of the upcoming tournament because of an injury, with Sadaf Shamas replacing her as right-handed batter.<\/p>\n

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Najiha complained of posterior left knee pain on Monday, and the scans found possible sprain in it.<\/p>\n

After a complete assessment by the PCB\u2019s medical staff, Najiha will soon start the rehab process, which may take up to four weeks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
