Newcastle United have signed Spanish midfielder Nico Gonzalez from Manchester City on a long-term contract, the Premier League clubs said on Wednesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n Financial details were \u200bnot disclosed, but British media reported the deal to be \u200cworth around 52 million pounds ($70.65 million).<\/p>\n The 24-year-old Barcelona academy product leaves City after making 59 appearances and scoring four goals for the club following his move from Porto \u200blast year.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m really happy to be here at this amazing club. \u200bI\u2019ve only heard top words about the club and the \u2060city, so I\u2019m really excited to live here and to be \u200bpart of this project,\u201d Gonzalez said in a club statement.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve experienced playing at \u200bSt James\u2019 Park twice with Manchester City and it was really tough.
