KARACHI, August 27, 2026: A case has been registered against protesters who demonstrated on Shahrah-e-Faisal against the murder of Mir Raza Ali, ARY News reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n The case was registered at Ferozabad police station on behalf of the state, with 20 people nominated in the FIR.<\/p>\n Police said the case was registered over blocking Shahrah-e-Faisal during the protest.<\/p>\n Police authorities have decided that Shahrah-e-Faisal will not be allowed to be blocked. In view of the protest, a heavy police contingent has been deployed at Nursery on Shahrah-e-Faisal.<\/p>\n Female police personnel are also among the deployed force.<\/p>\n Police said Karachi\u2019s major Shahrah-e-Faisal is blocked for several hours every day, causing thousands of citizens to get stuck in traffic jams.<\/p>\n Earlier, the judicial commission constituted to investigate the death of young entrepreneur Mir Raza Ali has commenced proceedings and issued notices to the relevant parties.<\/p>\n The commission has summoned Mir Raza Ali\u2019s family and their counsel, lawyer Jibran Nasir, to appear on August 28 (Friday). A notice has also been issued to the Sindh government\u2019s focal person in connection with the proceedings.<\/p>\n According to the commission\u2019s rules, the proceedings are to be completed within 30 days.<\/p>\n The commission is headed by Sindh High Court Justice Omar Sial and will investigate the circumstances surrounding Mir Raza Ali\u2019s death and examine all aspects of the incident.<\/p>\n Mir Raza Ali went missing on July 28 after leaving his home in PECHS Block 2. His bullet-riddled body was found the following day in bushes opposite the University of Karachi near Shahi Qila Ground in Gulistan-e-Johar.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
