{"id":68308,"date":"2026-08-28T00:24:48","date_gmt":"2026-08-28T00:24:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/68308"},"modified":"2026-08-28T00:25:10","modified_gmt":"2026-08-28T00:25:10","slug":"petrol-price-reduced-notification-issued","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/68308","title":{"rendered":"Petrol price reduced, notification issued"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.6\">\n<p><strong>ISLAMABAD, August 27, 2026: The prices of petroleum products have been decreased, according to a notification issued by Oil &amp; Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Thursday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The petrol price has been cut by 50 paisa per litre, bringing the new petrol price to Rs342.60 per litre.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"253\" data-end=\"323\">The price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by 19 paisa per litre.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"325\" data-end=\"397\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The new price of high-speed diesel has been fixed at Rs371.61 per litre.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) in Pakistan approved an increase in the dealers\u2019 margin on petrol and diesel by Rs.1.34 per litre, in a move aimed at addressing demands from fuel station operators.<\/p>\n<p>The dealers\u2019 margin has been raised from\u00a0<strong>Rs.8.64 to Rs.9.98 per litre<\/strong>, with the decision taking effect immediately, according to the government.<\/p>\n<p>The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, has been briefed on the decision and he backed the increase.<\/p>\n<p>The ECC meeting was chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and was held virtually at the Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n<p>Following the government\u2019s assurance, the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association postponed a nationwide strike planned for 15 August 2026.
