Department heads have also been instructed to ensure the timely attendance of their subordinate staff.<\/p>\n<p>The orders were issued by the Executive Director of PIMS.<\/p>\n<p>The administration has also been directed to keep all relevant records and information available for the inspection.<\/p>\n<p>Sources said the high-level inspection team will inspect clinical and non-clinical departments at PIMS and receive briefings from officials of different departments.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, contradictions emerged between the statements of the health minister and doctors regarding the fire at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital in Islamabad.<\/p>\n<p>The minister said a spark fell from the air conditioner, while a gynaecologist said the spark came from a bundle of wires, not the AC.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the programme\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dM5CIx3Gd0g\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>The Reporters<\/em><\/a>, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Health Mahesh Kumar said that when nurses were questioned, they appeared confused and it seemed they had been taught what answers to give.<\/p>\n<p>He said reports of all three committees should be submitted within 48 hours so that the entire nation can see them. The Standing Committee will examine how much truth the reports contain, he added.<\/p>\n<p>The Standing Committee on Health also visited PIMS hospital.
