The Interior Minister in Pakistan, Mohsin Naqvi, has reviewed passport and immigration services during visits to the Passport Office at Awami Markaz and Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.<\/strong><\/p>\n At the passport office, Mohsin Naqvi spoke to citizens who had come to renew or obtain passports and asked about the time taken from the issuance of a token to their turn for processing.<\/p>\n The citizens appreciated the passport issuance system and expressed satisfaction with the services. They said they had visited the office for passport renewal and that the entire process was completed within a few minutes.<\/p>\n The citizens further stated that they faced no difficulty in getting their passports processed and did not have to wait for long.<\/p>\n Interior Minister has said the Awami Markaz Passport Office would be expanded to provide greater convenience and improved facilities for citizens.<\/p>\n At Jinnah International Airport, the minister inspected immigration counters and spoke to passengers travelling abroad about their experience.<\/p>\n During the visit, the immigration system temporarily went down. Mohsin Naqvi contacted the relevant authorities and ordered the technical problem to be resolved immediately.<\/p>\n The Interior Minister further directed that alternative arrangements must be kept in place in case the system goes down. He emphasized that the immigration process must not stop under any circumstances.<\/p>\n Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also ordered FIA officers to take strict action against passengers travelling on fake documents. He stated that passengers carrying incomplete or unverified documents must not be allowed to travel under any circumstances.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
