{"id":69125,"date":"2026-08-30T00:19:56","date_gmt":"2026-08-30T00:19:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/69125"},"modified":"2026-08-30T00:20:01","modified_gmt":"2026-08-30T00:20:01","slug":"pakistan-makes-record-early-repayment-of-rs-1200-billion-loan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/69125","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan makes record early repayment of Rs.1200 billion loan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.6\">\n<p><strong>Pakistan has made its largest-ever single early repayment of a loan, paying back Rs.1.2 trillion ahead of schedule, according to the finance ministry.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The ministry said the repayment was the biggest single early debt payment made by the country to date.<\/p>\n<p>It said Pakistan had now repaid a total of Rs.5.92 trillion, or 5920 billion, in loans before their scheduled maturity dates.<\/p>\n<p>According to the finance ministry, with the latest loan payment, Pakistan\u2019s early debt repayments have reached nearly Rs.6 trillion, or 6000 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan repaid Rs.1.8 trillion (1800 billion) ahead of schedule during the 2025 financial year and a further Rs.2.9 trillion (2900 billion) in the 2026 financial year.<\/p>\n<p>Another Rs.1.2 trillion (1200 billion) has so far been repaid early in the 2027 financial year, according to the ministry.<\/p>\n<p>The government described the repayments as an important step towards more active debt management.<\/p>\n<p>It said reducing outstanding debt and future repayment obligations would ease pressure on public finances and create greater fiscal space for the economy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/arynews.tv\/pakistan-makes-record-early-repayment-of-rs-1200-billion-loan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pakistan has made its largest-ever single early repayment of a loan, paying back Rs.1.2 trillion ahead of schedule, according to the finance ministry.
