{"id":69135,"date":"2026-08-30T00:52:28","date_gmt":"2026-08-30T00:52:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/69135"},"modified":"2026-08-30T00:52:34","modified_gmt":"2026-08-30T00:52:34","slug":"punjab-to-introduce-live-tracking-for-driving-licence-deliveries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/69135","title":{"rendered":"Punjab to introduce live tracking for driving licence deliveries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.6\">\n<p><strong>The government of Punjab and traffic police have decided to overhaul the delivery system for driving licence cards, allowing residents to track their licences online in real time.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under the new system, the postal delivery service will be integrated with the Traffic Police\u2019s Licence Information Management System.<\/p>\n<p>At present, the\u00a0DLIMS\u00a0portal allows applicants to check the processing and printing status of their driving licence cards.<\/p>\n<p>Once the new integration is completed, however, users will also be able to see the delivery status and current location of their cards through online tracking.<\/p>\n<p>The system is expected to provide information at every stage of the process, from the point when a licence card is handed over by the traffic police to the post office, through its delivery, to its current location.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said the move was aimed at addressing delays in the delivery of driving licence cards to applicants\u2019 homes.<\/p>\n<p>They said the traffic police had previously faced difficulties in verifying and monitoring delivery-related data.<\/p>\n<p>The authorities have now approached the\u00a0Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB)\u00a0to facilitate the integration of the two systems.<\/p>\n<p>Officials expect the upgraded system to improve tracking and transparency, while helping ensure that driving licence cards reach residents within the expected delivery time<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/arynews.tv\/punjab-to-introduce-live-tracking-for-driving-licence-deliveries\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The government of Punjab and traffic police have decided to overhaul the delivery system for driving licence cards, allowing residents to track their licences online in real time.
