ISLAMABAD, August 31, 2026: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs4.33 per kilogram for September, ARY News reported citing a notification.<\/strong><\/p>\n Following the increase, the new LPG price has been fixed at Rs258.65 per kilogram.<\/p>\n The price of an 11.8kg domestic LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs51.17, with the new consumer price set at Rs3,052.09.<\/p>\n The consumer price of LPG has been fixed at Rs258,651.52 per tonne, according to the notification.<\/p>\n OGRA has also increased the LPG producer price by Rs4,336.17 per tonne.<\/p>\n The LPG producer price for September has been fixed at Rs217,351.52 per tonne.<\/p>\n The new LPG prices will take effect from September 1, 2026.<\/p>\n Earlier, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had initiated an inquiry into a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanker that arrived at Port Qasim in Karachi, allegedly carrying forged import documents.<\/p>\n According to FIA sources, the investigation is centered on a vessel, Venus 09, which docked at the port with LPG reportedly imported from Oman.<\/p>\n FIA has questioned the ship\u2019s captain, confiscating relevant documents for verification.<\/p>\n Preliminary records indicate that the tanker transported approximately 3,267 metric tonnes of LPG, valued at around Rs1.25 billion. The shipment was imported by Sahil Gas Company.<\/p>\n The LPG was offloaded at the port with the permission of Customs authorities. FIA officials are now verifying the original import location of the shipment and other related details.<\/p>\n The FIA has recommended that the tanker not be allowed to leave the port until the investigation is completed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
