Many users worldwide are unable to access major AI chatbots this morning due to widespread outages affecting services including OpenAI\u2019s ChatGPT, Anthropic\u2019s Claude, Google\u2019s Gemini, and X\u2019s Grok.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The disruptions were first reported by Downdetector, which monitors online service outages.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s still unclear what caused the outage, but other major platforms are also having problems. Cloudflare, which supports much of the internet, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) are both dealing with technical issues.<\/span><\/p>\n

Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cloudflare\u2019s service status page shows two ongoing issues that might be related to the outages, but both were first reported several days ago. So far, Cloudflare hasn\u2019t posted any new updates on its social media.<\/span><\/p>\n

For its part, OpenAI is showing \u201celevated errors across ChatGPT and Codex\u201d on its status page.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anthropic initially showed errors for most of its models, but now says they\u2019re limited to Opus 4.8 and Opus 5.<\/span><\/p>\n

Grok is still facing widespread outages. According to Downdetector data at 11:56 a.m. ET, reports of problems with OpenAI have dropped a lot, but there are still many outage reports for Claude, Grok, and Gemini.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
