The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) says it has arrested two men accused of taking hundreds of thousands of rupees from a citizen on the promise of securing a Saudi Arabian work visa and residency permit.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The arrests were made by the FIA\u2019s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) in Shah Latif Town, Karachi, as part of a crackdown on alleged human trafficking and illegal immigration networks.<\/p>\n

According to the spokesperson of the FIA, the suspects allegedly took Rs.760,000 from a man after promising to arrange a Saudi work visa and iqama, or residency permit, for his brother.<\/p>\n

FIA said the suspects failed to fulfil the promise after receiving the money and later refused to return it.<\/p>\n

A case, registered as FIR No. 223\/2026, was filed following a complaint by the alleged victim. The FIA said the suspects have been booked under Section 22(b) of the Emigration Ordinance, 1979, as amended in 2025.<\/p>\n

The two men were identified by the FIA as Muhammad Shehzad Ahmed Bhatti and Habib ur Rehman.<\/p>\n

The agency said both suspects had been arrested following an investigation and that questioning was continuing.<\/p>\n

Investigators are also looking into whether other people were involved and whether there may be additional victims, the FIA said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
