ISLAMABAD: We achieved significant breakthroughs during the talks held with the government, but certain individuals played a very negative role.<\/strong><\/p>\n On the orders of Imran Khan, a committee was established comprising Omar Ayub, Ali Amin Gandapur, Hamid Raza, Nasir Abbas, and Asad Qaiser.<\/p>\n The government at that time did not form a committee despite my party\u2019s request. Consequently, I convened an Apex Committee meeting in Peshawar, which Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also attended. At the end of the meeting, I spoke with Mohsin Naqvi privately and urged him to constitute a committee.<\/p>\n The government subsequently set up a committee chaired by Ayaz Sadiq, which included Ishaq Dar, Rana Sanaullah, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Aleem Khan, and representatives from MQM-P and BAP.<\/p>\n During the talks, I suggested that we must first decide whether we want enmity to prevail or give politics a chance to work.<\/p>\n As committee chairman, Ayaz Sadiq stated clearly that Imran Khan should be released from prison. Everyone participating in the meeting\u2014including Rana Sanaullah\u2014fully agreed that keeping Imran Khan in prison was wrong and that he must be released from captivity.<\/p>\n However, another message arrived from Imran Khan stating that if the committee was not going to form a judicial commission on the May 9, 2023 events, it should be dissolved.<\/p>\n We have lost a great deal due to such decisions, having witnessed numerous changes, alterations, and manipulations coming from Imran Khan.<\/p>\n Ali Amin Gandapur refrained from discussing the performance of the current PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). He noted that Mohsin Naqvi was one member of the government who genuinely wanted to resolve Imran Khan\u2019s situation.<\/p>\n
