KARACHI: Ali Jafri, the young man, who was tortured within the jurisdiction of the Sahil Police Station, leading to the arrest of accused, Malik Ibrahim and Waqar, has finally spoken about the allegations of the accused that a financial dispute led to the incident.<\/strong><\/p>\n Speaking exclusively to ARY News from inside the police station, the victim, Ali Jafri recounted the harrowing ordeal and made it clear that financial disputes were not the main reason which led to the torturous episode.<\/p>\n Ali Jafri maintained that the accused kidnapped him, beat him mercilessly, shaved his head, and forced him to eat his own hair. To evade accountability, Ibrahim and others showed him pictures of his family and threatened that if he sought legal help, the same treatment would be meted out to his relatives.<\/p>\n Ali Jafri was of the view that he is not seeking any monetary settlement or revenge, but rather demands strict justice through the legal system.<\/p>\n Earlier, the family of the accused had stated before media that the incident stemmed from a financial dispute involving around 60 to 70,000 rupees.<\/p>\n Ali Jafri, however, categorically rejected this claim, clarifying that he had no financial dealings with the Ibrahim and added that whenever he needs money, he asks his brother or sister, and that he did not even know the suspects prior to the incident.<\/p>\n Relating the sequence of events, the victim said, \u201cWhen they intercepted me outside Lorenzo and forcibly abducted me, that was the first time I ever spoke to them. I kept asking them what my fault was and why I was being tortured, but they just kept telling me to apologize.\u201d<\/p>\n He added that he did not know Malik Ibrahim before this episode and only learned the suspects\u2019 names when they addressed each other while he was locked inside the vehicle.<\/p>\n In the most recent update on the case, Ibrahim and other accused have been handed over to the police by court on physical remand.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
