Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced seven additional electric buses for Sargodha, reaffirming her government\u2019s commitment to improving public transport and civic facilities in the city.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The announcement was made during a meeting with Members of the Provincial Assembly from Sargodha, who called on the chief minister.<\/p>\n

The delegation included Provincial Minister Sohaib Ahmad Malik, Mansoor Azam, Mian Sultan Ranjha, Ikram-ul-Haq, Safdar Hussain Sahi, Rana Munawar Hussain, Taimur Ali Khan and Sardar Asim Sher Maken.<\/p>\n

The lawmakers congratulated and paid tribute to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for the establishment and record-time completion of the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology in Sargodha. They also expressed appreciation for the launch of the electric bus service in the city.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, Maryam Nawaz directed the MPAs to closely monitor the Model Village initiative, Suthra Punjab Programme and clean drinking water projects to ensure their timely and effective implementation.<\/p>\n

The meeting also reviewed proposals and recommendations aimed at accelerating ongoing development projects in Sargodha. The MPAs briefed the chief minister on the positive response from residents to various development initiatives.<\/p>\n

Maryam Nawaz said that every city, including Sargodha, was being placed on the path of development and that all available resources were being utilised to facilitate the public and improve their quality of life.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif gave the go-ahead to eight development schemes aimed at constructing, rehabilitating and upgrading roads across Sargodha district under the Own Source Revenue initiative. The projects carry a combined estimated cost of approximately Rs1 billion.<\/p>\n

According to a press release issued by the Deputy Commissioner\u2019s Office, several key roads in Sargodha city will be constructed or rehabilitated at a cost of Rs175.79 million. The package covers Dairy Road, Azad Road, New Urdu Bazaar Road, Grain Market Road, Pilot School Road and Ara Market Road.<\/p>\n

The rehabilitation of Khayam Chowk Overhead Bridge has also been approved, with Rs88.981 million allocated for the project.<\/p>\n

Another major scheme involves the rehabilitation of the route connecting Johar Colony Road with Fatima Jinnah Road through Gillwala Railway Crossing and Haripurah Bridge. The project has been estimated at Rs228.674 million.<\/p>\n

The authorities have further approved rehabilitation work on the road from Shama Chowk to Stadium Gate, including the link road leading to Cheema Heart Centre, at an estimated cost of Rs164.645 million.<\/p>\n

Similarly, Rs127.715 million has been earmarked for the rehabilitation of Main Bazaar Bhagtanwala Road and the Lahore Road-Bhirowal-Kot Momin Link Road.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
