Pakistan captain Fatima Sana has been fined 10 per cent of her match fee for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during the Women\u2019s Asia Cup Group A clash against India.<\/strong><\/p>\n Fatima was found guilty of a Level 1 breach of Article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which covers language, actions or gestures that could disparage a batter or provoke an aggressive reaction following a dismissal.<\/p>\n The Pakistan captain was also handed one demerit point, taking her total to two within 24 months. Her previous demerit point came during Pakistan\u2019s T20I against Ireland in Dublin on August 6, 2025.<\/p>\n The incident took place after Fatima dismissed India opener Shafali Verma, who had scored 12 runs off five balls while chasing Pakistan\u2019s low total of mere 55.<\/p>\n Shafali was dismissed off the sixth ball she faced after chipping the delivery back towards Fatima, who completed the catch before gesturing towards the pavilion.<\/p>\n Fatima Sana admitted to the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by Supriya Das of the Emirates ICC International Panel of Match Referees, ruling out the need for a formal hearing.<\/p>\n Level 1 offences carry a penalty ranging from an official reprimand to a fine of up to 50 per cent of the player\u2019s match fee, along with one or two demerit points.<\/p>\n Despite the disciplinary setback, Fatima was one of the few positives for Pakistan in their heavy defeat against India. Pakistan were bowled out for just 55 after India\u2019s bowlers dominated the innings, before Fatima responded with three wickets as India completed a seven-wicket victory.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
