The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has obtained Binance and cryptocurrency-related data as part of the investigation into the Mir Raza Ali case, ARY News reported on Wednesday, citing sources.<\/strong><\/p>\n The murder case has been mired in conspiracy, with the 25-year-old victim\u2019s family accusing police of trying to bury the facts and law enforcers initially trying to build the case around the possibility of suicide.<\/p>\n As per details, the NCCIA was requested to obtain six months of data related to Mir Raza. The multi-page data has also been shared with the investigation committee.<\/p>\n The data has further been submitted to the judicial commission in a format similar to call detail records (CDRs), sources said.<\/p>\n Police have now requested the NCCIA to analyse the data and provide details of the Binance transactions in simple and understandable terms.<\/p>\n Sources said the police do not have the technical expertise required to interpret Binance-related data. The NCCIA, however, has coding and technical experts who can analyse the information.<\/p>\n The analysis is expected to determine the number of transactions carried out on a daily basis during the six-month period, sources said.<\/p>\n According to sources, the data is received from external sources and subsequently analysed by the NCCIA. The agency is likely to provide the analysed data to police by tomorrow.<\/p>\n A soft copy of the data obtained has already been handed over to the relevant authorities, sources added.<\/p>\n Earlier, the Punjab forensic laboratory formally informed the investigation committee in writing that it was unable to access the iPhone, sources said.<\/p>\n The Apple Watch and iPhone will now be sent back to the investigation committee, sources said.<\/p>\n A few screenshots and messages were recovered from Mir Raza\u2019s Apple Watch. However, the material obtained from the watch was not considered significant for the investigation, sources said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
