The alert identifies\u00a0the\u00a0<strong>affected batch as\u00a0BBG11<\/strong>, with an expiry\u00a0date of\u00a0January 2028.<\/p>\n<p>The authorities said\u00a0the product had\u00a0been reported to\u00a0cause a suspected\u00a0adverse drug reaction\u00a0described as\u00a0\u2018severe bradycardia\u2019, or an unusually\u00a0slow heart rate, at multiple healthcare\u00a0facilities across Punjab.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Provincial Quality Control\u00a0Board (PQCB)\u00a0has directed that\u00a0the medicine be\u00a0stopped as a\u00a0precaution while further\u00a0investigation and regulatory\u00a0action are carried\u00a0out.<\/p>\n<p>Manufacturers and market\u00a0authorization holders have\u00a0been instructed to\u00a0immediately stop the\u00a0release, distribution and\u00a0supply of the\u00a0affected batch and\u00a0submit relevant manufacturing, quality-control, distribution, complaint and pharmacovigilance\u00a0records to the\u00a0authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Pharmacies, wholesalers,\u00a0distributors and healthcare\u00a0facilities have also\u00a0been told to\u00a0stop administering, dispensing, selling, supplying or\u00a0otherwise distributing\u00a0the affected batch\u00a0and quarantine any\u00a0remaining stock.<\/p>\n<p>Healthcare facilities have\u00a0been advised to\u00a0report inventory and\u00a0consumption records to\u00a0the relevant Drug\u00a0Inspector.<\/p>\n<p>It was also advised patients and\u00a0consumers\u00a0not to use\u00a0or receive the\u00a0affected batch\u00a0as a precautionary\u00a0measure.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/arynews.tv\/punjab-issues-stoppage-alert-for-a-batch-of-glycosting-injection\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Punjab\u2019s health authorities\u00a0have ordered an\u00a0immediate halt to\u00a0the release, distribution\u00a0and supply of\u00a0a batch of\u00a0Glycosting injection, citing reports of\u00a0a suspected adverse\u00a0drug reaction.
