{"id":75955,"date":"2026-09-15T14:41:37","date_gmt":"2026-09-15T14:41:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/75955"},"modified":"2026-09-15T14:41:38","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T14:41:38","slug":"mlo-dr-osamas-firing-demo-video-surfaces","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/75955","title":{"rendered":"MLO Dr Osama\u2019s firing demo video surfaces"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.6\">\n<p><strong>KARACHI:<\/strong> A demonstration video recorded by MLO Dr Osama in the Mir Raza case has surfaced on ARY News, along with a copy of the summons issued to him by the Commission of Inquiry investigating Mir Raza Ali\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p>The proceedings of the Commission of Inquiry constituted to investigate the death of Mir Raza Ali are ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>The commission has summoned Jinnah Hospital\u2019s MLO Dr Osama Sheikh under Section 4 of the Sindh Tribunals of Inquiry Ordinance, 1969.<\/p>\n<p>According to the summons, Dr Osama Sheikh has been directed to appear before the commission in person on September 15 at 11am. He has been summoned to record his statement, face cross-examination on oath and produce relevant records and evidence.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"entry-content-asset videofit\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Mir Raza Mu\u066dder Case: Where Did the Bullet Hit? Key Details Emerge\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/T2_2zSIcjds?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>The summons also directed Dr Osama to appear before the Commission of Inquiry at the Sindh High Court.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a demonstration video recorded by Dr Osama in connection with the Mir Raza case has also surfaced.<\/p>\n<p>The video shows Dr Osama conducting a firing demonstration on a dead goat. A cloth was placed over the animal before shots were fired at it from two different distances.<\/p>\n<p>The demonstration was carried out using a .30-bore weapon. The video shows a larger entry wound and a smaller exit wound.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Osama was the first medico-legal officer (MLO) in the Mir Raza case. He had initially declared Mir Raza\u2019s death a suicide but later backtracked from his earlier position.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the day, MLO Dr Osama Sheikh, levelled serious allegations against Karachi Police Surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed, who conducted the second autopsy in the case.<\/p>\n<p>In early August, Dr Summaiya pointed out discrepancies between the first medico-legal report prepared by Dr Osama and the available photographs. Following this, Ali\u2019s body was exhumed at the request of his family and a second post-mortem examination was conducted.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Summaiya told the judicial commission on Monday that she had faced \u201cthreats\u201d after raising questions over the findings of the first post-mortem conducted in the murder case of young businessman Mir Raza Ali.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to ARY News on Tuesday, Dr Osama alleged that Dr Summaiya was trying to implicate him in the case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI swear that Dr Summaiya trapped me,\u201d he alleged, adding that she had told him, \u201cIf I have trapped you, I will also save you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dr Osama said he wanted to discuss the facts of the case before the commission but felt that the proceedings had shifted away from the central issues.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI conducted Mir Raza\u2019s first post-mortem. I am the primary evidence,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He said the facts should be brought before the court, expressing hope that the judge would give him an opportunity to present his position at the next hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Responding to questions about discrepancies between his findings and the second post-mortem, Dr Osama said the issue was not necessarily about whether something was right or wrong, as certain details could sometimes be missed during an examination.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo person is perfect. That does not mean things have gone wrong,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Osama also discussed his experience in examining firearm injuries, saying that he had examined cases involving the same weapon being fired from different distances made different sizes of wounds.<\/p>\n<p>He maintained that the size of an entry wound does not necessarily have to be smaller or larger depending on the location where a bullet strikes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will try to prove the things I have written in my report,\u201d he said, adding that a review of his timeline of events could clarify several aspects of the case.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Osama further said he had arrived prepared to submit an apology but, unfortunately, did not get the opportunity to do so.
