KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain have condemned Houthi missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia and expressed solidarity with the Kingdom, as Riyadh said it had intercepted a Houthi drone near Makkah.<\/strong><\/p>\n Kuwait\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday strongly condemned Houthi attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in the Saudi cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha and Taif.<\/p>\n The attacks, which were carried out using ballistic missiles and drones, injured several civilians and damaged residential properties and vehicles, according to the ministry. It described the attacks as a flagrant violation of Saudi sovereignty and international law, including international humanitarian law.<\/p>\n The Kuwaiti ministry affirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and support for measures taken to safeguard the Kingdom\u2019s sovereignty, security, stability and national interests, as well as to protect its citizens and residents.<\/p>\n It stressed that Saudi Arabia\u2019s security was an integral part of the security of Kuwait and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.<\/p>\n Bahrain also condemned the Houthi missile and drone attacks on Khamis Mushait, Abha and Taif, saying they had injured civilians and damaged homes and vehicles.<\/p>\n In a statement, Bahrain\u2019s Foreign Ministry described the attacks as a flagrant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, the UN Charter and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.<\/p>\n The ministry said Saudi Arabia\u2019s security and stability were integral to Bahrain\u2019s national security. It reaffirmed Manama\u2019s full solidarity with the Kingdom and support for measures taken to protect its sovereignty, security, citizens and residents, in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter.<\/p>\n
