{"id":76552,"date":"2026-09-17T01:24:41","date_gmt":"2026-09-17T01:24:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/76552"},"modified":"2026-09-17T01:24:42","modified_gmt":"2026-09-17T01:24:42","slug":"quantum-valley-pakistan-to-open-new-pathways-for-startups-high-tech-firms-ahsan-iqbal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/76552","title":{"rendered":"Quantum Valley Pakistan to open new pathways for startups, high-tech firms: Ahsan Iqbal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.6\">\n<p><span>Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal stated that the launch of Quantum Valley Pakistan \u201cShaping Pakistan\u2019s Innovation &amp; Technology Future\u201d signifies a new chapter for Pakistan in technological progress, innovation, and building a knowledge-based economy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Distinguished guests Mr. Tim Rowe, CEO, Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC); Mr. Dougan Sherwood, Partner, CIC; and Mr. Seena Amidi, Managing Partner, Plug and Play, attended the launch ceremony of Quantum Valley Pakistan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Addressing the launch ceremony of Quantum Valley Pakistan, the Federal Minister said, \u201cToday is not merely the inauguration of a project; it marks the beginning of a new direction for Pakistan\u2019s future.\u201d He described the launch as a proud moment and said the initiative would help connect Pakistani youth with global centres of innovation and technology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>He said that the centre of power in the 21st century is no longer physical strength, but intellectual and creative capability. Countries with the best ideas and the ability to turn them into products will move ahead in the global economy, he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Ahsan Iqbal added that Pakistan\u2019s nearly 60 percent population comprises young people, and the country\u2019s youth are second to none in talent and potential. \u201cWe have to bring together the capabilities of our youth and move forward with the spirit of Team Pakistan,\u201d he stated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cQuantum Valley Pakistan would serve as a platform to connect Pakistani youth with global technology and innovation hubs, while bringing stakeholders together within a modern technology ecosystem,\u201d The Federal Minister said.\u00a0 The initiative, he added, would create new opportunities for startups and promote high-tech businesses in Pakistan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>During the ceremony, two agreements were signed to strengthen technological collaboration and support the country\u2019s innovation ecosystem. The first agreement was signed between Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) and Quantum Valley Pakistan, while the second was signed between Plug and Play and Quantum Valley Pakistan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Ahsan Iqbal called the agreements an important step towards equipping Pakistani youth with modern technology and creating pathways for innovation, entrepreneurship, and high-tech business development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Minister said Pakistan\u2019s defence and diplomatic successes must be backed by a strong and sustainable economy. He said the government had set a target of transforming Pakistan into a $1 trillion economy by 2035 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cAchieving a $1 trillion economy by 2035 is certainly difficult, but it is not impossible,\u201d he said, adding that if Pakistan could become a nuclear power despite enormous challenges, it could also achieve the target of a $1 trillion economy through determination, innovation and collective national effort.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Ahsan Iqbal stressed the need to learn from past mistakes and move Pakistan towards economic sovereignty. \u201cPakistan needs a strong economic future for its young generation, not turmoil on its streets,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>He said the world was advancing at unprecedented speed, and Pakistan could not afford to lose even a moment in accelerating its journey towards modern technologies. He underlined that increasing exports was essential for achieving complete economic sovereignty.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Federal Minister recalled that in 2017, several National Centres were established in Pakistan in emerging fields, including Big Data and Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Automation and Robotics, GIS and Space Technology, Applied Mathematics, and Livestock and Genomics. Through these centres, universities were connected to develop a national technology network, he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>He said URAAN Pakistan further accelerated the country\u2019s technology journey in 2024. The technology ecosystem being developed through these initiatives would contribute towards the government\u2019s target of increasing Pakistan\u2019s exports to $100 billion by 2035, he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Minister said Pakistan\u2019s population of 260 million people represents enormous economic potential, and the country needs to build the capacity to generate at least $400 billion annually in foreign exchange.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cPakistan\u2019s youth can earn millions of dollars in foreign exchange for the country through knowledge and technology,\u201d he said, adding that the government wanted to transform young people from merely job seekers into architects of knowledge, innovation and development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>He referred to Pakistan\u2019s youth as the \u201cShaheens of Iqbal\u201d and urged them to use their talents to contribute to the nation\u2019s development and prosperity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Federal Minister said Quantum Valley Pakistan would help Pakistan secure a stronger position in the global technology and innovation landscape. \u201cOur objective is to enable Pakistan to achieve a leading position in technology and innovation globally,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>He also welcomed the agreement between Cambridge Innovation Center and Quantum Valley Pakistan, saying such partnerships marked an important step toward equipping young people with technology and creating an environment conducive to startups and high-tech businesses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Ahsan Iqbal said the launch of Quantum Valley Pakistan marked not only the start of a new institutional initiative but also the beginning of a broader journey toward a technology-driven, innovative, and economically empowered Pakistan.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/arynews.tv\/quantum-valley-pakistan-to-open-new-pathways-for-startups-high-tech-firms-ahsan-iqbal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal stated that the launch of Quantum Valley Pakistan \u201cShaping Pakistan\u2019s Innovation &amp; Technology Future\u201d signifies a new chapter for Pakistan in technological progress, innovation, and building a knowledge-based economy.
