{"id":76675,"date":"2026-09-17T09:11:20","date_gmt":"2026-09-17T09:11:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/76675"},"modified":"2026-09-17T09:11:22","modified_gmt":"2026-09-17T09:11:22","slug":"govt-dealers-to-meet-today-to-end-deadlock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/76675","title":{"rendered":"Govt, dealers to meet today to end deadlock"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.6\">\n<p><strong>The government and petroleum dealers have resumed talks in a bid to resolve the deadlock over the petrol relief package, ARY News reported on Thursday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A key meeting between government officials and representatives of petrol dealers will be held in Islamabad today at 4pm, chaired by the petroleum minister.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting will focus on finalising the mechanism for payments to dealers under the fuel relief package.<\/p>\n<p>The talks were revived after petrol dealers announced on Wednesday that they would not provide fuel under the relief scheme because an agreement on the payment mechanism had not been reached.<\/p>\n<p>The latest meeting is expected to address the dealers\u2019 concerns and pave the way for implementation of the package.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Read more: <a href=\"https:\/\/arynews.tv\/petrol-pump-owners-body-refuses-implement-pm-relief-scheme\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Petrol Pump owners body refuses to implement PM relief scheme<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>It is to be noted that the Petrol Pump Owners Association on Wednesday refused to implement the Prime Minister\u2019s fuel price relief scheme.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe government\u2019s subsidy scheme is good but we hae reservations over the scheme\u2019s payment mechanism,\u201d owners body\u2019s official Noman Butt said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>He said the didn\u2019t consult with the dealers before initiating the relief scheme.
