PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf\u2019s (PTI) planned march on Islamabad will not secure the release of party founder Imran Khan, ARY News reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n In his statement, Kundi said the purpose of the planned Islamabad march was to secure the release of PTI founder Imran Khan, who is currently in jail.<\/p>\n He said marching on Islamabad would not free the convicted and disqualified PTI founder.<\/p>\n Kundi urged the KP government to focus on governance instead of preparing for the long march and protests in Islamabad.<\/p>\n He said the Kohat incident was strongly condemnable, adding that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was facing terrorism while doctors were also protesting in the province.<\/p>\n The governor said the province was facing several problems, but the provincial government was preparing to march on Islamabad while the law and order situation in KP remained poor.<\/p>\n He appealed to the KP government to pay attention to its own province and focus on addressing the problems being faced by the people.<\/p>\n Kundi said young people and businesspeople were promoting a soft image of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Punjab, adding that the province\u2019s youth were making progress in every field.<\/p>\n He said the region was facing a crisis due to the war between Iran and the United States.<\/p>\n Kundi said the federal government was asking authorities to close marriage halls and hotels. He said such measures might be possible in Punjab, but Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was already facing terrorism and could not afford them.<\/p>\n On the issue of new provinces, Kundi said the Pakistan Peoples Party was not involved in any conspiracy to create new provinces.<\/p>\n He said if Parliament decided that new provinces should be created, they would be formed.<\/p>\n The governor said elected representatives were present in Parliament and whatever decision they made would be implemented.<\/p>\n Kundi said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had also rejected the proposal for a separate Hazara province, while Punjab had not supported the creation of new provinces.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
