ISLAMABAD: The federal police have decided to arrest key PTI parliamentarians ahead of the party\u2019s long march, while lists of PTI lawmakers have been prepared and five parliamentarians have already been detained, ARY News reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n Sanaullah Masti Khel, Saifullah Niazi and Ghaus Muhammad were detained outside Parliament Lodges, while MNA Dawar Khan and Hamad Jamal Hassan Khan were arrested from Mianwali Radio Pakistan Chowk.<\/p>\n PTI founder Imran Khan\u2019s sister Aleema Khan is also under detention in Lahore and has been shifted to Kot Lakhpat Jail under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO).<\/p>\n According to an order issued by the Lahore deputy commissioner, Aleema Khan has been detained for 30 days. Her presence among the public was declared a serious threat to public order and public safety.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Rawalpindi police have contacted the district administration to close 48 educational institutions as part of preparations to deal with protesters.<\/p>\n Sources said a strategy has also been prepared to stop protesters travelling from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Islamabad.<\/p>\n Authorities have decided to dig trenches on roads leading from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa towards Islamabad. Trenches will be dug on the GT Road and at 26 Number Chungi, Pirwadhai, IGP Road, Aswal Mor and Kati Pahari.<\/p>\n Barriers will also be placed at various routes to stop protest caravans.<\/p>\n Emergency measures are being taken in Islamabad and Rawalpindi to maintain security and law and order during the long marches of Jamaat-e-Islami and PTI.<\/p>\n Rawalpindi police have contacted the district administration for closure of 48 educational institutions, where personnel arriving from across Punjab will be accommodated.<\/p>\n According to sources, around 15,000 additional police personnel will stay at these educational institutions and take part in maintaining the security situation.<\/p>\n Police personnel arriving from different districts of Punjab are expected to reach Rawalpindi within 24 to 48 hours.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
