{"id":78208,"date":"2026-09-21T00:13:03","date_gmt":"2026-09-21T00:13:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/78208"},"modified":"2026-09-21T00:13:05","modified_gmt":"2026-09-21T00:13:05","slug":"sit-ins-could-inflict-rs120bn-daily-blow-to-pakistan-economy-aurangzeb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/78208","title":{"rendered":"Sit-ins could inflict Rs120bn daily blow to Pakistan economy: Aurangzeb"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.6\">\n<p><strong>ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb has said Pakistan is moving from economic stabilisation towards economic growth, warning that protests, strikes and sit-ins could cause losses of up to Rs120 billion to the economy every day.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the media, the finance minister said the country\u2019s foreign exchange reserves had reached their highest level in its history, while the current account remained in surplus and remittances continued to grow.<\/p>\n<p>He said Pakistan\u2019s economic trajectory was moving from stabilisation towards sustainable growth, adding that disruptions to economic activity could undermine this progress.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the situation in the Middle East, Aurangzeb said the ongoing developments were affecting countries around the world and posed significant challenges to global trade.
