The team says this update uses several sources, like a leaked map from August 18 and footage from Rockstar\u2019s Extended Look. The image below shows the differences between Version 16 and Version 15.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>On Reddit, u\/poorna_sus14 explains the changes. The team has updated coastlines, beaches, urban areas, and county boundaries. They also added new roads and buildings in Vice City, Key Lento, Hamlet, Capri, and Ambrosia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The elevation map has been updated too, now showing more camera positions, parking areas, and industrial zones. Vice City and nearby areas have even more detail, with new buildings, extra alleys, helipads, and new road links.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>You can check out interactive versions of the map on GTADB and State of Leonida. These let you zoom in and explore different locations and streets.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>One notable update is the new scale. The map now uses a 1 by 1 km grid, making the total size about 21 by 20 km. But this does not mean the game world is 420 km\u00b2, since much of that space is water or outside the land area. Version 16 estimates the land area at about 85.6 km\u00b2, which is smaller than the nearly 110 km\u00b2 in Version 15.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The mapping team got this lower number after updating the scale and shape of Leonida with new info. Even though the GTA 6 map (which you can pre-order on Amazon) is smaller than first expected, it is still very large.
