ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to close the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway M-1 from tomorrow evening, according to the motorway police spokesperson.<\/strong><\/p>\n The M-1 will remain closed for all types of traffic in both directions from Islamabad Toll Plaza to Chachh Interchange, the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n The Tarnol, Sangjani, Brahma Bahter and Burhan interchanges will also remain closed from tomorrow evening.<\/p>\n The Hazara Motorway Interchange, Ghazi Interchange and Chachh Interchange will also remain closed, according to the motorway police spokesperson.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the M-14 Motorway from Hakla to Kundal will remain closed for all types of traffic in both directions.<\/p>\n The Pindi Gheb, Khapra, Tarap and Daud Khel interchanges will also remain closed from tomorrow evening.<\/p>\n The Kot Balian, Isa Khel and Kundal interchanges will also remain closed, the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n The GT Road N-5 will also be closed for traffic at Attock Khurd from tomorrow evening, according to the motorway police spokesperson.<\/p>\n Earlier, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi warned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership against staging another sit-in in Islamabad.<\/p>\n \u201cThe government would strictly enforce the law and would not allow the capital or the country to be brought to a standstill,\u201d Naqvi said while addressing a press conference in Lahore.<\/p>\n Speaking about the PTI\u2019s planned protest and its demand for a medical examination of the party\u2019s founder, Naqvi said the PTI leadership was currently in Islamabad and urged it to reconsider its approach.<\/p>\n \u201cI clearly tell the PTI leadership not to push itself into a dead end,\u201d Naqvi said, adding that such political tactics would not achieve anything.<\/p>\n The interior minister said the government would \u201cleave no loopholes\u201d and would deal with any protest in accordance with the law. He also claimed that several members of the PTI leadership did not want to pursue politics based on sit-ins.<\/p>\n Mohsin Naqvi said that if the PTI proceeded with a sit-in in Islamabad, the government would implement the Islamabad High Court\u2019s orders.<\/p>\n \u201cThis time, it will not be possible for them to come to Islamabad and shut down the country for 10 days,\u201d he said, urging the PTI to avoid what such political approach that could harm the party and its supporters.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have already made it clear that we will proceed according to the law,\u201d Naqvi said, adding that the government would formulate a \u201cpermanent course of action\u201d and would not leave the matter unresolved.<\/p>\n On the PTI founder\u2019s medical examination, Naqvi said the party had demanded that he be examined at a hospital. He said the PTI founder had been present at the hospital the previous night and had also undergone a medical check-up.<\/p>\n \u201cWe will proceed according to the law, not according to the wishes of PTI members,\u201d the minister said.<\/p>\n Naqvi further said that those within the PTI who were \u201csensible\u201d did not want such a situation to develop, reiterating that the government intended to find a permanent solution rather than deal with repeated protests.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
