The trading session in the Pakistan stock market (PSX) closed lower on Thursday, 24 September, 2026, as the benchmark KSE-100 index fell by 1,733.57 points or 1.01 percent to close at 170,498.95, compared with the\u00a0previous\u00a0close of 172,232.51.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to\u00a0PSX data, <\/strong>the index moved between an intraday high of 172,491.17 and a low of 170,418.38.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Trading remained active, with 759,974,194 million shares changing hands in the regular market, compared with 773,593,742 million shares in the previous session.<\/p>\n

The value of shares traded rose to Rs.27,539,926,430, from Rs. 26,453,393,949 previously.<\/p>\n

Market capitalization fell to Rs.18,971,042,131,404, compared with Rs. 19,178,716,735,687 in the previous session.<\/p>\n

In the Ready Market, 358 companies closed lower, while 101 gained and 36 remained unchanged, out of 495 companies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
