LAHORE: The Ombudsman Punjab has taken notice of alleged harassment at Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering and Technology (KFUEIT) in Rahim Yar Khan, ARY News reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ombudsperson (Protection Against Harassment and Property Rights of Women) Dr. Najma Afzal has ordered the immediate formation of a fact-finding committee.<\/p>\n

She directed the establishment of a five-member committee to probe the allegations of harassment and blackmailing at the university.<\/p>\n

Dr. Najma Afzal stated that the committee will comprise three men and two women, including legal experts specializing in digital evidence and harassment cases.<\/p>\n

The team will verify the authenticity of screenshots currently circulating on social media, she added.<\/p>\n

She also assured that the person facing the allegations will be given a complete opportunity to present their side of the story before the committee.<\/p>\n

Confidentiality, dignity, and the preservation of evidence will be strictly maintained during the inquiry, she said, emphasizing that if the allegations are proven true, legal action will follow.<\/p>\n

Conversely, she warned that action would also be taken against anyone sharing fake content or attempting to defame someone.<\/p>\n

The inquiry committee has been instructed to submit its comprehensive report within 30 days.<\/p>\n
