Virat Kohli said next year\u2019s 50-overs World Cup would be his last for India and he is ready to give his all to help lift the \u200btrophy.<\/strong><\/p>\n Kohli, the leading century-maker in ODIs with 54 hundreds, retired from T20 \u200cinternationals and Test cricket earlier and now represents India only in the 50-over format.<\/p>\n The 37-year-old batter, who has scored 14,941 runs in one-day internationals, second only to Sachin Tendulkar\u2019s 18,426, won the \u200bWorld Cup on home soil in 2011 before suffering defeat in the 2023 \u200bfinal against Australia.<\/p>\n The 2027 edition, to be jointly hosted by South \u2060Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia in October to November, will be Kohli\u2019s fifth ODI World \u200bCup.<\/p>\n \u201cFor me, it\u2019s the last World Cup I\u2019m going to play for India,\u201d Kohli \u200btold broadcaster JioStar on Saturday.<\/p>\n \u201cThat is my motivation and like, you know, to leave everything out there. And of course, the goal is absolutely to win the World Cup and whatever it takes, \u200bI\u2019m absolutely ready.\u201d<\/p>\n Kohli said the demands of a 50-over World Cup made it \u200bone of cricket\u2019s toughest challenges, particularly with the tournament set to be played away from home.<\/p>\n \u201cThe intensity \u200cof \u2060a 50-over World Cup is greater than anything. Because now, it\u2019s about 10 games at a Twenty20 level of intensity,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cBut you are playing 2.5 T20 games in one day. And to maintain that intensity for 10 games in a big \u200btournament and World Cup \u200bis a big \u2060deal. Also now, it\u2019s in foreign conditions.
