Alexander Isak will miss Sweden\u2019s three remaining Nations League group-stage fixtures due to a minor injury and \u200bwill return to club side Liverpool, the Swedish Football Association \u200csaid.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s got a small problem with his thigh. It\u2019s not a big one but because of the amount of games we\u2019ve got in a small space of \u200btime, he won\u2019t be able to make those,\u201d Swedish coach \u200bGraham Potter told reporters on Sunday.<\/p>\n \u201cSo not a big one, \u2060but frustrating for him, and obviously for us,\u201d the English coach \u200bsaid of the injury to the 27-year-old striker, who scored in Sweden\u2019s \u200b2-1 win over Romania on Friday.<\/p>\n Sweden host Poland on Monday before facing Bosnia & Herzegovina and Romania, while Liverpool are next in action against Manchester City at Anfield on \u200bOctober 11.<\/p>\n Isak, 27, who joined Liverpool from Newcastle United last year \u200bfor a fee of \u00a3125 million ($166 million), is the Premier League\u2019s second-highest scorer this season \u200cwith \u2060four goals in five matches, one behind City striker Erling Haaland.<\/p>\n Potter said Isak was injured during the win over Romania, with the striker opening the scoring in the 20th minute, but also picking up the \u200bknock.<\/p>\n \u201cSometimes you get \u200bbumps and bruises \u2060in the game, you might think it\u2019s a bit of a dead leg or something, but actually as \u200bthe 24 hours, 48 hours after the game, \u200bit\u2019s not \u2060quite what you think,\u201d Potter said.<\/p>\n Sweden centre back Hjalmar Ekdal, who plays for English Championship side Burnley, has also left the training camp with \u2060a minor \u200binjury.<\/p>\n \u201cNo replacements have been called up at \u200bthis time,\u201d Sweden said in a statement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
