The security forces of Pakistan have eliminated four militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan, according to security sources.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the security sources, the operation was carried out under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision, in which four militants of Fitna-Al Khawarij were killed.<\/p>\n

Security officials said the forces had been closely monitoring the militants\u2019 movements before targeting them.<\/p>\n

A large quantity of weapons and ammunition, along with Afghan currency, was recovered from the militants, the officials said.<\/p>\n

The authorities said security forces remained committed to eliminating militant activity and maintaining lasting peace in the country.<\/p>\n

Earlier, a terrorist accused of killing three young cricket players in Lakki Marwat was shot dead during a joint operation by police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Abdul Khel, police said.<\/p>\n

The terrorist named Manzoor, was involved in the attack on the cricket players and was wanted in several serious terrorism cases.<\/p>\n

According to police, a joint police and CTD operation was conducted in Abdul Khel village in Lakki Marwat, following the attack. During an exchange of fire, Manzoor was killed.<\/p>\n

Lakki Marwat District Police Officer Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada confirmed the death of the terrorist and said police had taken custody of his body.<\/p>\n

The DPO said Manzoor was wanted by the CTD Bannu Division in seven serious terrorism cases. Police alleged that he was also involved in the killing of three cricket players.<\/p>\n

The joint operation continued for several hours, after which the CTD launched a large-scale search operation in the area to locate and arrest other suspected terrorists.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
