{"id":81582,"date":"2026-09-28T23:13:40","date_gmt":"2026-09-28T23:13:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/81582"},"modified":"2026-09-28T23:13:41","modified_gmt":"2026-09-28T23:13:41","slug":"federal-government-hints-at-imposing-emergency-in-khyber-pakhtunkhwa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/81582","title":{"rendered":"Federal government hints at imposing emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.6\">\n<p><strong>ISLAMABAD: Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar has indicated that an emergency could be imposed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa if required by the Constitution, ARY News reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tarar said the Constitution is clear about the imposition of an emergency and that if the circumstances require it, an emergency should be imposed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf an emergency is required in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it should definitely be imposed and it will be imposed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Governor<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said the federal government does not impose governor\u2019s rule willingly, as it is considered a last resort.<\/p>\n<p>He said the federal government and the president would carefully consider any decision to impose governor\u2019s rule in the province.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the law and order situation, Kundi said the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is extremely concerning.<\/p>\n<p>He revealed that young doctors, nurses and police personnel from FATA and PATA are on strike.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe government should first resolve the problems of its own province,\u201d Kundi said.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about governor\u2019s rule, he said it is the last option when no other way remains, adding that the federal government and the president would make a decision after thorough consideration.<\/p>\n<p>Kundi further said the opposition cannot currently move a no-confidence motion.
