GTA 6 will have over 170 animal species in Leonida, including rare, discoverable, and Legendary creatures, according to Game Informer.<\/b><\/p>\n
The latest Game Informer issue shares new details about Rockstar Games\u2019 upcoming open-world game, covering its wildlife and player activities.<\/span><\/p>\n GTA 6 takes place in Leonida, a fictional state based on Florida. Its animal ecosystem covers urban, rural, aquatic, and wetland areas.<\/span><\/p>\n The magazine reports the game will feature over 60 bird species and more than 30 land mammals, as well as reptiles and fish. Wildlife examples include feral cats, monkeys, whales, turtles, and jellyfish.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cFlorida has a diverse animal ecosystem that we wanted to faithfully include across the different biomes in Leonida. This includes urban and rural areas, aquatic life both inland and in the ocean, and wetland habitats like the swamps and Everglades,\u201d Rockstar vice president of dynamic art Michael Kane explained.<\/span><\/p>\n Some animals will be classified as Rare, Discoverable, or Legendary. Rockstar has not yet said which creatures fit these categories.<\/span><\/p>\n Wildlife in the game will have unique visual traits like iridescence, bioluminescence, and translucency. Animals will also have different feather types, and hair and fur systems will change how pelts and coats look.<\/span><\/p>\n Players can study animals and visit a zoo, adding more wildlife activities to the game.<\/span><\/p>\n Game Informer also lists activities like base jumping, billiards, gym sessions, kayaking, mini golf, scuba diving, street and off-road racing, air boating, and jet skiing.<\/span><\/p>\n
