One remains missing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Rescuers have \u200bso far recovered 15 bodies from the site, said Tul Singh Gurung, president of Nepal National Mountain Guide Association (NNMGA).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Eight bodies were recovered \u200bfrom under the snow on Thursday while the other \u200bseven were retrieved earlier this week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe bodies that were recovered today \u200care \u2060expected to be brought by a helicopter to Kathmandu,\u201d Gurung told Reuters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>He said chances of finding the one missing worker were dim and the rescue operation \u200bis likely to \u200bwind up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The \u2060foreign climbers had not reached the site at the time of the avalanche.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Each year, \u200bthousands of visitors flock to Nepal to \u200bvisit \u2060or climb its mountains, creating work for tens of thousands of people as guides, porters and other staff, \u2060as \u200bwell as in tourism-related jobs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>However, as \u200bclimate change accelerates melting of glaciers and ice, the work is becoming \u200bincreasingly perilous.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/arynews.tv\/avalanche-kills-15-nepali-workers-preparing-himalayan-mountain-camp-for-climbers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KATHMANDU: At least 15 Nepali workers were killed when an avalanche buried a mountain \u200bcamp they were preparing in central Nepal for \u200cforeign climbers, a rescue official said on Thursday, in the deadliest incident of the Autumn climbing season ending this month.
