Pakistan Railways says it has significantly increased expected revenue and liquidity from the leasing of 125 commercial godowns at Badami Bagh in Lahore following a competitive auction.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The railway department said annual lease revenue from the properties would rise from Rs. 72.2 million to Rs.331.08 million under the newly finalized auction.<\/p>\n

That represents an increase of about 359 percent, according to figures released by Pakistan Railways.<\/p>\n

In addition to this recurring stream, Pakistan Railways is set to receive an upfront lump-sum payment of PKR 277.72 million on account of a one-year security deposit.<\/p>\n

Consequently, the overall cash flow generated from the auction marks an extraordinary surge of 743.5 percent over the previous year.<\/p>\n

Taking into account both the first year\u2019s lease payment and the upfront security deposit, the total realization for Pakistan Railways during the first year will stand at an impressive PKR 608.80 million.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the achievement, Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi affirmed that national interest and transparency remain non-negotiable priorities for the government.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that transparent asset utilization directly serves the national exchequer, and he extended his heartfelt congratulations to the railway administration for executing a thoroughly professional auction process.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
