{"id":83759,"date":"2026-10-04T03:52:29","date_gmt":"2026-10-04T03:52:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/83759"},"modified":"2026-10-04T03:52:30","modified_gmt":"2026-10-04T03:52:30","slug":"bilawal-bhutto-to-inaugurate-karachis-tp-i-sewerage-treatment-plant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/83759","title":{"rendered":"Bilawal Bhutto to inaugurate Karachi&#8217;s TP-I sewerage treatment plant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.6\">\n<p><strong>KARACHI: Chairman People\u2019s Party Bilawal Bhutto will inaugurate Karachi\u2019s TP-1 sewerage treatment plant of the Greater Karachi Sewerage Plan today, marking a step towards improving wastewater management and supplying treated water for industrial use.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>TP-1 sewage treatment plant in Gutter Bagheecha, Haroon Abad, spreads over around 180 acres of land.<\/p>\n<p>The plant would initially treat 35 million gallons of wastewater per day (MGD), with addition of 65 MGD, its sewerage treatment capability will reach to overall 100 million gallons per day (MGD).<\/p>\n<p>The treatment facility would enable the city to supply treated wastewater to industrial users, helping reduce reliance on freshwater resources while promoting the sustainable management and reuse of water.<\/p>\n<p>The city authorities have a long-term target of bringing maximum sewerage under the treatment system.<\/p>\n<p>Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that the basic objective is to prevent disposal of untreated sewerage into the sea.<\/p>\n<p>He said currently 28-million-gallon sewerage water is being treated daily. \u201cThe recycling of sewerage water and its use in industries will bring pressure on the city\u2019s freshwater resources,\u201d mayor further said.<\/p>\n<p>He described the project as an important milestone in Karachi\u2019s efforts to modernize its urban infrastructure and improve environmental management through advanced wastewater treatment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/arynews.tv\/bilawal-bhutto-inaugurate-karachis-tp-i-sewerage-treatment-plant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: Chairman People\u2019s Party Bilawal Bhutto will inaugurate Karachi\u2019s TP-1 sewerage treatment plant of the Greater Karachi Sewerage Plan today, marking a step towards improving wastewater management and supplying treated water for industrial use.
