The trading session at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed lower on Monday, 5 October 2026, as the benchmark KSE-100 index dropped 2,288 points, or 1.36 percent, to close at 165,867.32.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The index had closed at 168,155.49 in the previous session. It traded between a high of 167,918.37 and a low of 165,764.21 during the day.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Trading volumes also declined, with 441.9 million shares changing hands in the regular market, compared with 494 million shares in the previous session.<\/p>\n

The traded value fell to Rs.15,709,837,693, from Rs.17,491,130,287 previously.<\/p>\n

Market capitalization stood at Rs.18,464,451,859,910, down from Rs.18,725,525,051,750 in the previous session.<\/p>\n

In the Ready market, of the 499 companies listed, 55 advanced, 409 declined and 35 remained unchanged.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
