{"id":85011,"date":"2026-10-07T02:02:20","date_gmt":"2026-10-07T02:02:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/85011"},"modified":"2026-10-07T02:02:21","modified_gmt":"2026-10-07T02:02:21","slug":"rana-sanaullah-urges-pti-to-end-protest-and-return-to-talks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/85011","title":{"rendered":"Rana Sanaullah urges PTI to end protest and return to talks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.6\">\n<p><strong>Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on political affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to end its long march and return to negotiations with the government.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Talking on the ARY News Program, \u2018On My Radar\u2019, Sanaullah said the government had consistently sought to resolve political disputes through dialogue.<\/p>\n<p>He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had written two letters to the opposition leader, but had yet to receive an indication that a meeting would take place.<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"entry-content-asset videofit\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Rana Sana Warns PTI to End Long March and Return to Talks | On My Radar\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WNIy6guODvI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>He criticized the opposition leader\u2019s position that a meeting could not be held at the Prime Minister\u2019s Office because he does not accept the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n<p>Rana Sanaullah, referring to the previous talk, said the opposition\u2019s negotiating committee had made considerable efforts to reach an agreement, but lacked the authority to take final decisions.<\/p>\n<p>According to Sanaullah, some members of the committee had also contacted other people in an effort to make the talks successful.<\/p>\n<p>He said the committee\u2019s decision to remain in discussions until around 2:30 or 3pm was intended to keep the negotiations alive.<\/p>\n<p>Sanaullah said people who were in contact with the government wanted negotiations to succeed, but alleged that some PTI members were interested only in violence and long-march politics.<\/p>\n<p>He stressed that negotiations could not move forward on the basis of conditions imposed by either side.<\/p>\n<p>He described one of the opposition\u2019s demands as unconstitutional and illegal, saying the federal government could not surrender powers guaranteed to it under the constitution.<\/p>\n<p>Sanaullah also referred to a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari three days earlier, saying the decision had been taken to continue engaging with the opposition.<\/p>\n<p>Sanaullah also addressed concerns raised by PTI about the health and treatment of its founder and former prime minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan.<\/p>\n<p>He said doctors from abroad regularly visited Pakistan and that, to his understanding, medical care had been provided to the founder of PTI when required.<\/p>\n<p>Sanaullah said PTI had raised concerns about Khan\u2019s treatment during the negotiations and that a member of the government\u2019s committee had shared information about the care provided to him.<\/p>\n<p>Sanaullah accused the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government of taking actions over which the federal government could exercise its constitutional authority.<\/p>\n<p>He said, however, that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had made no decision so far on imposing governor\u2019s rule in the province.<\/p>\n<p>On security, Rana Sanaullah said Pakistan and KP had been subjected to a war against terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>He said India and neighboring Afghanistan were involved in what he described as the hostile environment facing Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>Rana Sanaullah said formulating policy in response to foreign aggression was the constitutional responsibility of the federal government.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/arynews.tv\/rana-sanaullah-urges-pti-to-end-protest-and-return-to-talks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on political affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to end its long march and return to negotiations with the government.
