ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has nominated Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as its new member of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan, sources told ARY News.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to sources, the notification of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari\u2019s nomination will be issued soon.<\/p>\n

Senior lawyer Farooq H Naek had resigned from the Judicial Commission due to personal reasons.<\/p>\n

Bilawal Bhutto had previously withdrawn his nomination from the Judicial Commission in November 2024 in protest over what he described as the government\u2019s failure to honour its commitment.<\/p>\n

According to sources, Bilawal had said the government did not fulfil its promise of equal representation in the Judicial Commission.<\/p>\n

Sources said the PPP\u2019s Central Executive Committee would decide the party\u2019s future course of action regarding the government. Bilawal is expected to convene a meeting of the Central Executive Committee upon his return to Pakistan, where important decisions will be taken.<\/p>\n

It may be recalled that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari held an important meeting last month.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, both leaders agreed to mobilise Parliament for the 27th Constitutional Amendment and decided to take JUI-F chief Maulana Fazal ur Rehman on board beforehand.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
