ISLAMABAD: The deadlock between the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) over cooperation on legislation has been resolved, ARY News reported, citing sources.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

As per details, the PPP has agreed to support the government in legislative matters in both the National Assembly and the Senate in the coming period.<\/p>\n

The two parties have also reached an agreement on the formation of a parliamentary committee on electoral reforms, sources said.<\/p>\n

According to the sources, it has been agreed that the chairmanship of the electoral reforms committee will be given to the PPP.<\/p>\n

The committee will include representatives from all political parties represented in Parliament, with each party receiving representation in both houses based on its numerical strength.<\/p>\n

Sources further said the two sides have agreed on the passage of around 30 bills, including legislation linked to conditions under the International Monetary Fund (IMF) programme.<\/p>\n

According to sources, the PPP has assured the government of its support for one important bill in August 2026.<\/p>\n

Sources said Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met President Asif Ali Zardari. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Faryal Talpur also attended the meeting.<\/p>\n

The meeting discussed in detail various points related to the important government bill, PPP sources said.<\/p>\n

Sources said Naqvi briefed President Zardari on the proposed legislation and requested his support for the important bill.<\/p>\n

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has assured Mohsin Naqvi of its support for the bill, according to sources.<\/p>\n

Sources said Attorney General Mansoor Awan has also held meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari regarding the proposed legislation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
