{"id":86614,"date":"2026-10-10T21:42:31","date_gmt":"2026-10-10T21:42:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/86614"},"modified":"2026-10-10T21:42:34","modified_gmt":"2026-10-10T21:42:34","slug":"no-room-left-to-avoid-emergency-in-kp-mohsin-naqvi-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/86614","title":{"rendered":"\u2018No room left to avoid emergency in KP, Mohsin Naqvi says"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.6\">\n<p><strong>The Interior Minister of Pakistan, Mohsin Naqvi, has ruled out any chance to avoid an emergency or governor rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), saying there is \u201cno room left\u201d to avoid it, suggesting that efforts to prevent the move may have reached a dead end.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking informally to reporters, Naqvi said he had made every possible effort to avoid such a decision.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAsk Barrister Gohar how far I went in trying to prevent this situation,\u201d he said, adding that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf\u2019s (PTI) chairman Gohar could explain the extent of his efforts.<\/p>\n<p>When asked whether a reconciliation was still possible, given that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman had gone to meet the prime minister, Naqvi urged reporters to ask Barrister Gohar about his attempts to avert the decision.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTell me how this matter can be avoided,\u201d the interior minister said, adding that there was no room left for further manoeuvre.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, sources say Maulana Fazlur Rehman opposes both the imposition of an emergency and the introduction of governor\u2019s rule in KP.<\/p>\n<p>He has argued that neither measure would provide a solution to terrorism in the province.<\/p>\n<p>Maulana Fazlur Rehman is expected to brief his party leadership on his meeting with the prime minister.
