{"id":86875,"date":"2026-10-11T14:04:02","date_gmt":"2026-10-11T14:04:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/86875"},"modified":"2026-10-11T14:04:04","modified_gmt":"2026-10-11T14:04:04","slug":"pakistan-army-deployment-ordered-in-kp-under-article-245","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/86875","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan Army Deployment Ordered in KP Under Article 245"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.6\">\n<p><strong>ISLAMABAD: The federal government has issued a notification for the deployment of Pakistan Army troops in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to assist the civil administration, ARY News reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The deployment has been approved under Article 245 of the Constitution for the duration of the emergency declared on October 11.<\/p>\n<p>According to the notification, the deployment aims to protect the lives and property of citizens and government installations in the province.<\/p>\n<p>The Pakistan Army will assist the civil administration in maintaining law and order in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the notification stated.<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"entry-content-asset videofit\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Pakistan Army Deployment Ordered in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Assist Civil Administration\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CGfslcqora0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>It said the KP governor, in consultation with General Headquarters (GHQ), would determine the number of troops and resources required for the deployment.<\/p>\n<p>The formal notification for the army\u2019s deployment will be published in the Gazette of Pakistan, Part II.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, an 11-member advisory council for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) was announced, with Dr Syed Amir Abdullah, Tariq Mahmood Pasha, and Lieutenant General (retd) Nigar Johar Khan among its members.<\/p>\n<p>The council also includes Usman Saifullah Khan, Amir Javed, Samar Haroon Bilour, Dr Muhammad Irshad, Maulana Muhammad Tayyab Qureshi, Kifayatullah Khan, Asif Rafiq Afridi and Dr Sarfaraz Ali Shah.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement comes amid the federal government\u2019s decision to impose Governor\u2019s Rule and an emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to address the law and order situation.<\/p>\n<p>President Asif Ali Zardari signed the summary for the imposition of an emergency and Governor\u2019s Rule in the province under Articles 232 and 234 of the Constitution on the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.<\/p>\n<p>According to the presidential proclamation, a surge in terrorist incidents and serious security threats prompted the constitutional measures.<\/p>\n<p>The proclamation cited an increase in terrorist attacks on government installations and law enforcement agencies, warning that the incidents posed serious risks to security and public order.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/arynews.tv\/pakistan-army-deployment-ordered-in-khyber-pakhtunkhwa-under-article-245\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The federal government has issued a notification for the deployment of Pakistan Army troops in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to assist the civil administration, ARY News reported.
