ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) parliamentary party has decided to seek approval from the National Assembly for the imposition of emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ARY News reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n The decision was taken during a meeting of the PML-N parliamentary party in Islamabad. The National Assembly is scheduled to approve a resolution endorsing the imposition of emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday.<\/p>\n Speaking to the media, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah said there was no option but to demonstrate performance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.<\/p>\n He said the decision to take action in the province had been made out of compulsion, adding that the situation would improve and terrorism would be completely eliminated.<\/p>\n Rana Sanaullah said the fight against terrorism must be won at all costs, adding that there was no other option but to defeat terrorism.<\/p>\n He alleged that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had failed to fully cooperate in the fight against terrorism, while the PTI-led provincial government had been engaged in activities other than tackling the threat.<\/p>\n He said the Balochistan government was fully cooperating in the fight against terrorism.<\/p>\n Referring to the demands of militant groups, Rana Sanaullah said terrorists were calling for the separation of Balochistan and questioning how negotiations could be held with those who talked about breaking up Pakistan.<\/p>\n He also alleged that the PTI\u2019s narrative was similar to that of terrorists.<\/p>\n \u201cThe issue is that terrorists have no political demands,\u201d he said, adding that they were speaking against Pakistan\u2019s integrity.<\/p>\n Rana Sanaullah said Saudi Arabia, China, Turkiye and Qatar had also made efforts to address the issue, but the Afghan government was not agreeing to their proposals.<\/p>\n He said banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Fitna al-Khawarij elements were involved in terrorism.<\/p>\n He added that extortion, non-custom-paid vehicles and drug trafficking were criminal activities that were contributing to the spread of terrorism.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
