{"id":88694,"date":"2026-10-15T18:13:39","date_gmt":"2026-10-15T18:13:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/88694"},"modified":"2026-10-15T18:13:41","modified_gmt":"2026-10-15T18:13:41","slug":"ogra-cuts-petrol-price-increases-diesel-rate-from-october-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/88694","title":{"rendered":"OGRA cuts petrol price, increases diesel rate from October 16"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.6\">\n<p><strong>ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has reduced the petrol price by Rs3.63 per litre while increasing the diesel price by 31 paisa per litre, ARY News reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the notification, the new petrol price has been fixed at Rs390.23 per litre, while diesel will now cost Rs396.96 per litre.<\/p>\n<p>The revised prices of petroleum products will take effect on October 16, according to the notification.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Petrol Relief Scheme:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Under the Petrol Relief Scheme, motorcycle and Cingchi rickshaw owners get a Rs.100 per litre discount on up to 20 litres of petrol per month.<\/p>\n<p>Owners of vehicles with engines up to 800cc are eligible for discounted petrol of up to 30 litres per month.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to register<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To register for the discounted petrol, applicants should send an SMS containing the following information to 9771: citizens write REG, CNIC number, Vehicle registration number, First word of the province name and Vehicle registration date.<\/p>\n<p>Once registration is completed, applicants will receive a confirmation message on their mobile phone.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to obtain the petrol token<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Before visiting a petrol station, applicants should send TOK to 9771.<\/p>\n<p>They will then receive a token number by SMS.
