RAWALPINDI: A special investigation committee formed on the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has completed its reinvestigation into the murder of Hina Javed, identifying domestic worker Zeeshan, who was already nominated in the case, as the prime suspect, according to investigation team sources.<\/strong><\/p>\n The sources said skin particles belonging to Zeeshan were found under the fingernails of the deceased. The investigation team questioned Hina Javed\u2019s husband, Faisal Asghar, and domestic worker Zeeshan more than four times during the inquiry.<\/p>\n According to the sources, Zeeshan has a criminal record in other serious cases. They further claimed that he confessed to rape and strangling Hina Javed with a bedsheet.<\/p>\n The investigation team sources said no innocent person could be declared the prime suspect under pressure from anyone.<\/p>\n However, Hina Javed\u2019s family has expressed a lack of confidence in the findings of the new investigation team. The family also alleged that evidence related to the murder had been tampered with.<\/p>\n The investigation team has completed its inquiry and departed for Lahore, according to sources.<\/p>\n The murder case is registered at the Civil Lines Police Station in Rawalpindi. Hina Javed\u2019s husband, Faisal Asghar, and domestic worker Zeeshan are currently held at Adiala Jail on judicial remand.<\/p>\n The incident took place at Askari Apartments in the Lalkurti area, within the jurisdiction of the Civil Lines Police Station.<\/p>\n According to the FIR registered on the complaint of Hina\u2019s brother, her body was found in the bathroom of the residence. Police have also arrested the domestic worker, identified as Zeeshan.<\/p>\n Her hands were allegedly tied behind her back, a cloth was stuffed into her mouth and a wire was tied around her neck.<\/p>\n Hina had married Faisal Asghar, son of retired Colonel (r) Asghar Ali Fayyaz, in November 2025.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
