{"id":89207,"date":"2026-10-17T00:11:18","date_gmt":"2026-10-17T00:11:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/89207"},"modified":"2026-10-17T00:11:19","modified_gmt":"2026-10-17T00:11:19","slug":"political-party-chief-upset-over-not-getting-share-in-kp-governorship-says-mohsin-naqvi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsvog.com\/ur\/89207","title":{"rendered":"Political party chief upset over not getting share in KP governorship, says Mohsin Naqvi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.6\">\n<p><strong>LAHORE: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Friday claimed that the head of a political party was upset over not receiving a share in the new administrative setup in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), including the governorship, following the imposition of Governor\u2019s Rule.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking informally to journalists in Lahore, Naqvi claimed the politician had remained dependent on the establishment for decades but was now criticising it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is upset over not getting a share in Governor\u2019s Rule or the governorship,\u201d the interior minister said, without naming the political party chief.<\/p>\n<p>Naqvi alleged that the politician had relied on the establishment throughout his political career, claiming that even the air tickets for his party\u2019s political activities had previously been arranged through the establishment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSuch politicians are not justified in pointing fingers at others today,\u201d he said, adding that political differences should be discussed through arguments and facts rather than allegations.<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"entry-content-asset videofit\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Mohsin Naqvi Claims Party Leader Is Upset Over Governor\u2019s Rule and Not Getting Governorship\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ig5nmrO-LEg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>The minister also questioned the concerns expressed by some political leaders over the resources of the former Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), asking why they had remained silent when the region was denied its due share for years.<\/p>\n<p>He said the rights and resources of the merged districts should be treated as an issue above political interests.<\/p>\n<h2>KP Needs Stability, Not Political Confrontation: Naqvi<\/h2>\n<p>Naqvi said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was facing serious security challenges and urged political leaders to play a constructive role in restoring peace and order.<\/p>\n<p>He called on political leaders to help eliminate terrorism instead of fuelling tensions and spreading political discord.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe province needs peace and stability, not political confrontation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<h2>Fazlur Rahman Criticises KP Emergency<\/h2>\n<p>Naqvi\u2019s remarks came amid strong opposition from Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman to the imposition of an emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the Mufti Mahmood Conference in Multan, Fazl alleged that the emergency had been used to transfer control of the former tribal districts\u2019 resources to the federal government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe resources of FATA had become part of the province, but by imposing an emergency, you have handed them over to the federation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read Also:<\/strong>\u00a0<a class=\"title\" href=\"https:\/\/arynews.tv\/pm-sharif-fazlur-rehman-discuss-political-situation-pti-long-march\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PM Sharif, Fazlur Rehman \u2018discuss\u2019 political situation, PTI long march<\/a><\/p>\n<p>He described the move as an attempt to take control of the region\u2019s mineral resources and accused the authorities of making deals with the United States at the expense of local resources.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRemember, we will no longer accept this kind of politics,\u201d Fazl said, adding that China and Russia also had reservations about the developments.
